The Crusaders head into the 2019 Investec Super Rugby season as two time defending champions. They are looking to secure three consecutive titles, which has only been achieved once before in Super Rugby history, by the Crusaders between 1998 – 2000.
With predominantly the same title winning squad, the 2019 Crusaders team will once again be one of the favorites for the title. A highlight of the 2019 Super Rugby draw is the home derby matches against each of the New Zealand teams. Hurricanes, Chiefs, Highlanders and Blues.
All Super Rugby matches against New Zealand opposition teams were sell outs in 2018!
The non-derby matches in 2019 will see the Crusaders play the two strongest South African teams. The Lions, who have been Super Rugby finalists for the past two seasons, and the Sharks, who the Crusaders defeated in the quarterfinal. The remaining matches see the Crusaders play the Brumbies and Rebels, both teams that were close to securing places in the play-offs in 2018.
The exclusive Boot Party and Crusaders Club lounges are located at Addington Events Centre, a five minute walk to Christchurch Stadium.
