At the base of the North Island, Wellington, Aotearoa's capital, is a compact city with a mix of culture, history, nature and cuisine. With a capacity of 7,000 the Basin Reserve is home of some of New Zealand most famous cricket moments. The oldest cricket ground in NZ features large grassy banks, the Basin offers a serene viewing experience. The iconic Basin Reserve will host a Trans-Tasman showdown between Australia and New Zealand on Sunday, 13 March, as well as five other pool matches and the first semi-final of the tournament
