John Seton (LLM)
Director
John holds a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of
Wellington and a Master of Laws with Honours from the University of
Auckland.
After practicing as a solicitor then general counsel, John
established and managed a number of public companies. In 1998 he
established the Claymore partnership with Greg Barclay.
John is a present or past director of a number of public
companies in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. He is chairman of
Zedex Minerals Limited and Mudhouse Wine Group Limited, and a
director of TSX listed Olympus Pacific Minerals Inc. and NZSX
listed SmartPay Limited. He was also the former chairman of Summit
Resources Ltd when it was taken over in a A$1.2b hostile
transaction.
Greg Barclay (LLB Dip.Bus)
Director
Greg is a founding partner of Auckland based legal and advisory
firm Claymore Partners. He has expertise in commercial law,
including corporate structuring, debt and capital raising, and
mergers and acquisitions.
He is a past or present director of a number of high profile New
Zealand companies including Kim Crawford Wines, Pacific Forest
Products Group, and NZX Listed SmartPay Limited. He is also a past
director of the Canada/New Zealand Business Association and remains
honorary solicitor to the Canadian Consulate.
Greg has long had involvement in the business of sport and
established the forerunner of the Experience Group in 1999. Greg is
chairman of Experience Group and is also a director of Hospitality
NZ 2011, which was appointed one of only two international agents
for Rugby World Cup 2011. He is currently also a director of
Northern Districts Cricket Association.
Warren Barclay (BCom)
Managing Director
Warren is the Managing Director of the Experience Group. After
graduating from Canterbury University with a Bachelor of Commerce,
he held numerous senior marketing, sales and management roles with
national and multinational companies. Warren has been involved in
commercial sports for over 10 years through Capital Events Limited,
Lions Hospitality 2005 Limited and now the Experience Group.
Capital Events Limited, previously owned by the same three
directors, was set up in 1999 to provide event management and
corporate hospitality services. Warren takes an active role in each
and every event and uses his knowledge and experience to help
deliver a first class experience for all our clients.
He is a director of a number of privately owned companies.
